Vegetarian Food- A vegetarian is a person who does not eat any meat, poultry, fish or by-products of animal slaughter. Vegetarian food is that which meets the vegetarian standards. A vegetarian food which contains various levels of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. A vegetarian diet is high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, but low in saturated fat. This will control your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Eating this diet for a long time can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. Non Vegetarian Food It is an Indian English word used to mean meat and it is also used to refer to meat eaters who are not vegetarians that are, eating meat, especially the main source of protein. It include chicken, meat, eggs and fish. It is also good for health because they are rich in protein and B vitamins.

In India, packaged foods must carry vegetarian and non-vegetarian marks, which are green and reddish brown marks, which clearly indicate that they are suitable for vegetarians (green) or non-vegetarians respectively.
